Perfection in human form.: Reunion || Callum & Ariana
Callum crept behind the group of first years heading through the portrait that led to the Slytherin common room. He noticed plentiful glares from the older students, wincing to himself as he remembered the last nasty encounter he got himself into with a few Slytherins that…
“Stop being so stubborn, Ari. Besides, I think you’re overreacting just a bit,” Callum protested with a scowl. “I’m fine. It’s just a little bruise, really. Barely even hurt.” He tried to reassure her with a grin, but the look on her face said it obviously wasn’t working. He couldn’t help but wince at the thought of the hell Ariana would put her own housemates through for doing such a thing to him. They’d probably end up in the hospital wing for at least a week, and even if they left him with a black eye, he really did wish him the best of luck after that. He sighed and shook his head at the thought, but couldn’t help but look up at her with a smile once more. He heard a knock on the door and irritated voices outside, but that only made him lean in again with greater force this time, rightly gripping a handful of her hair with one hand and her waist with his other, moving in more and more until he was hovering over her with a smug smile. He heard the knocks on the door grow louder and louder, but simply continued to ignore them. “We’re not answering that,” he breathed against her lips.
If We Stand For Nothing, We'll Fall For Anything: J Squared || Joe and Josie
the-one-and-only-joe-hallswell:
Joe entered the crowded corridor that lead to the Great Hall after leaving the Slytherin Common Room. Even after being gone for a month, the other students still parted for him in the hallway. A smirk tugged at Joe’s lips as he heard some of the girls whispering from the ends of the walls. The…
Josie quirked a curious eyebrow and Joe’s statement before heaving a sigh of defeat. “Yeah, yeah, Joseph, whatever you say. I’m not even going to try and question your logic,” she snorted, shaking her head the slightest bit before glancing over her shoulder to watch the Great Hall grow farther and farther away. “Mm, probably. Aren’t they something all dumb little girls enjoy?” She scoffed at the thought. Muggle girls must have been twice as stupid as the ones she had to endure on a daily basis. “I don’t know how you put up with them, Hallswell,” she thought out loud as the two walked out into the courtyard. She glanced up at the clear, night sky and sighed contently. It was much more pleasant now that the cold had gone for good. “I mean, aren’t you mean enough to just tell them to bugger off or something? Either you’re incredibly patient, or you really do like the attention,” she snorted. “On you, eh? Fine by me. I’m not one to turn down a free drink,” she admitted with a chuckle before adding in a small, “Thanks.” She knew Joe probably wasn’t the comforting type, but whatever he was trying to do was working. “Sounds like a plan. I can’t say I’m not excited, either. When can we go?”
You found me.: Long Time No See || Josie & Luke
“I told you I’d win,” Josie replied with a smug grin, though she knew she hadn’t put much effort into that bet to begin with. It obviously came up at an inconvenient time. “All I had to do was avoid you for the month. That’s really why you haven’t seen me lately.” She…
“Well, I don’t think I would have bee able to win it any other way,” Josie admitted with a sheepish grin. “Besides, you know I wouldn’t have been able to take losing, especially against you.” She snorted before adding in, “You’d never let me hear the end of it.” Then again, it was obvious to the both of them that losing generally didn’t settle too well with her. She paused for a brief moment to ponder Luke’s question as her lips curled into a small smirk. “Well, as tempting as it is to find something publicly humiliating for you to do to celebrate my victory, I think bragging rights will do. And I wouldn’t exactly mind a butterbeer, either.” She chuckled quietly as she sat up a bit, but her smile faded slightly when she realized what she had said earlier was rather out of line. As much as the idea of marriage made her nauseous, nervous and horribly uncomfortable, especially when it came to two of her friends who were barely old enough to understand what they were getting themselves into, she silently scolded herself and told herself she’d be happy as long as Luke and Abby were. “I’ll be there, then. Wouldn’t miss it for the world,” she assured him with a grin. “How is Abby doing? I haven’t seem her since… Merlin knows how long it’s been.”
